Namibia has been on my Wishlist for so long and, in the end, I managed to travel there when I was not really planning to. It all started when I was planning an end of the year trip with my boyfriend. We had many options, but we were also running late as we started thinking about it in November. We wanted to find a balance between someplace we were both interested in going to and somewhere that was not too expensive. After considering Tanzania, the Philippines, and Costa Rica, we landed on Namibia. We decided to go with Avventure nel Mondo (but this time I was not coordinating) not to have too much to plan and because the price was good. It was an amazing trip, very intense, but worth it. In a way, however, it did not meet completely my expectations. I knew it is not the destination for safaris but I was surprised the landscape was far from amazing. Overall, Namibia has incredible places to offer but don't expect to enjoy amazing views when driving from one to the other.
